Flying by the Milky Way
In order to take photos of the Milky Way and other celestial objects, one needs a dark sky. Two friends and I drove--separately--out to Rappahannock County Park, just out side of Washington, VA, in August--to get some photos of the MW. It's nearly 70 miles from DC, but is probably the closest "dark sky" area for us.
